What is Craniosacral Therapy?

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle manual therapy used to release restrictions to relieve pain and dysfunction while improving overall health.

Developed by Dr. John Upledger, D.O., this gentle-touch therapy addresses issues within the craniosacral system. Where there are restrictions, there is dysfunction. Releasing restrictions allows space for health to return.

Clients experience direct improvements in the function of the central nervous system as well as improvements in other systems, including digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, and circulatory.

CST has also been shown to help with physical issues related to non-somatic conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety.

By facilitating the body’s natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster disease resistance and is beneficial to people seeking help for a wide range of challenges and symptoms.
